MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD AT THE DANNY FLEAR COMMUNITY CENTRE ON TUESDAY, 6th July 2021 at 7.30 pm
PRESENT
Councillors: N Marshall (In the chair), J Godwin, B Posey, A Pearson, R Pearson, S Pearson, and J Tillson, Mrs V Austin (Clerk)
Members of the Public: Mr Keith West & Mrs A West.
1 APOLOGIES
Apologies received from Councillors M Swift & P Bedford & J Welbourn & P Skinner & from the police.
1.1 It was discussed regarding M Swift absences from monthly meetings
This is to be reviewed in September, M Swift is a nurse dealing with Covid injections.
2 POLICE REPORT
PCSO H Baker had reported on the following incidents between 30th May to 30th June 21
Suspicious Circs – Butterwick Road, Freiston, Suspicious Circs – Drove Road, Freiston. ASB Vehicle nuisance – Scrane End, Freiston.
Suspicious Circs – Croppers lane, Freiston. ASB Noise Nuisance – Shore Road Freiston
3 MINUTES
3.1 The minutes of the parish council meeting held on the 7th June 2021 having been previously circulated were approved and signed by the Chairman.
4 MATTERS ARISING
4.1 Planting of a Tree in recognition of the Queens up-coming anniversary.
Councillor Posey, has applied for the tree, which was suggested would go on Freiston playing field.
4.2 Owl Box – Councillor Posey, has stated that owls do not like boxes that are on sticks, it was suggested that a kestrel box be placed instead.
4.3 Parish Magazine: Propose a meeting with vicar & villages, to start afresh with the magazine, Councillor N Marshall will speak to the vicar.
4.4 Councillor Grant Scheme – Boston Borough Council. Suggested by Councillor B Posey the Children’s swings to be replaced at Freiston Playing Field, will get prices of the replacement. Update at next meeting.
5 NO DECLATIONS OF INTEREST
6 PLANNING
6.1 B/21/0289: The application for proposed extension to form a framed lean to style porch, conservatory, at 3 Bakers Lane, has been granted.
7 PARISH MATTERS
7.1 Highways: Concern was expressed regarding Park Lane potholes, Councillor
S Pearson had reported the potholes & Councillor Posey had reported Priory Road.
7.2 War Memorial Site: Councillor N Marshall stated that the kerbing work had been completed. The fencing work still to be completed to be chased up.
A recycled seat to be fitted, Clerk V Austin to find information regarding who supplied the recycled seating.
7.3 Speed Indicating Device: Keith West, has taken over on the speed camera work, & has arranged a zoom meeting for training. Will inform the councillors at the next meeting.
7.4 Charity Board: No further update
7.5 Grass Cutting: The Vicar at the church has asked if the parish could contribute towards the cutting of the grass. Councillors all agreed to the cutting, Councillor N Marshall to speak to the vicar. To follow up in next meeting.
8 CORRESPONDENCE
8.1 Various emails including those from Boston Borough Council and LALC, had been forwarded to all councillors.
9 FINANCE
9.1 The clerk reported that due to not having access to the bank, could not report actual figures.

10 DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next meeting would be held on the 17th August 2021, commencing at 7.30 pm at the Danny Flear Community Centre.
11 ANY FURTHER BUSINESS
Councillor N Marshall expressed concern with regards to fly tipping in the village, with the refuse centre not being open 7 days a week, they are closed on Wed/Thurs.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 8.15pm.
