MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD AT THE DANNY FLEAR COMMUNITY CENTRE ON
Thursday 19th December 2024, at 7:30pm

PRESENT
Councillors: Cllr Nigel Marshall (Chair), Cllr Roy Pearson, Cllr Shaun Pearson, Cllr Tony Pearson, Peter Bedford, Cllr Bridgett Posey, Cllr Amy Marshall, Cllr Simon Pearson
Also Present: County Councillor, Paul Skinner
The meeting was called to order at 19:30pm
1. Chairman to open the meeting: Good evening and Welcome to you all, wine and mince pies to start the December meeting.
2. Apologises: To receive and accept apologises where a valid reason for the absence has been given to the clerk prior to the meeting.

3. Public Forum: No members of the public were present
4. Police Matters: Stats and incidents are available to view on the police website. Local Crime information website www.streetcheck.co.uk.
• No Information received from The Clerk – Update at January 2025 meeting
5. Minutes: To approve the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on the 21st November 2024.
To resolve as a correct record and to authorise the Chairman to sign the official minutes
• All councillors resolved for the chairman Cllr Nigel Marshall to sign the minutes.
6. Declarations of interest (if any): To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests
• None received.
7. Planning update: Town and Country Planning Act 1990 - To consider and make observations on all planning applications received and to note planning approvals, refusals, enforcement complaints and appeal decisions advised by Boston Borough Council. –
• No planning received.
8. Updates / Discuss and resolve the following items

8.1. Highway & Roads – Update
• To Note: The Clerk contacted LRSP for the 40mph Correx signs.
• Cllr Nigel Marshall not received the signs as yet.
• Potholes reported to Fixmystreet
• Car in dyke at Butterwick Road / Shore Road, reported to Fixmystreet
8.2 Churchyard – Nettles / Rubbish in Churchyard Grounds. – Update
• To Note: The Clerk has contacted waste management at Boston Borough Council and has completed the necessary forms.
• The general waste bins have been delivered to the Church.
• Cllr Simon Pearson to sort bins
• The total cost of the bins for the year to be reduced from the total from the budget for the PCC.
• Cllr Nigel Marshall - further quotes from T A Blackamore.
8.3 Christmas in Freiston
• To Note: The clerk has purchased the prizes
• Winners of Let’s light up Freiston as follows:
First – Chapel Church View
Second – 2 Butterwick Road
Third – 5 Shaw’s Lane
Fourth – Holly Cottage Priory Road.
• Merry Christmas lamppost signs purchased via Royal British Legion for the lamp posts around the village. Thank you to Cllr Nigel Marshall for putting up the signs.
8.4 Litter Picking December 2024 - Update
• Thank you to Cllr Judith Godwin for arranging the litter pick on the 1st December 2024.
Thank you to all that attended.
This was a successful litter pick, with 18 bags and a bit of a car collected.
• Clements contacted about the dyke
• These events need more volunteers.
9. Finance:
9.1 Bank Account: Statement of accounts as at 19th December 2024
• Treasurers Account Balance - £5,778.26
• Business Bank Instant Balance - £58,133.71
• Fixed Term deposit account - £701.92 Interest on £40k received – Closed.
9.2 To approve the accounts for payments
• Payments due December 2024 - £1,143.52
• Payments made in between meetings - £19.18
• Receipts received December 2024 - £723.50
9.3 To resolve for £40,000 to be put in a fixed term deposit account for six months.
• All councillors resolved for The Clerk to set up a fixed term deposit with Lloyds Bank.
10. Date of next parish council meeting: Thursday 16th January 2025.
With no other business to go forward to the January 2025 meeting, the parish council meeting closed at 20:10pm
