AGENDA
1. Chairman to open the meeting:
2. Apologises: To receive and accept apologises where a valid reason for the absence has been given to the clerk prior to the meeting.

3. Police Matters: Stats & incidents are available to view on the police website. Local Crime information website www.streetcheck.co.uk Crime data – Clerk to check the street check website. – Update at meeting
4. Minutes: To approve the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on the 18th May 2023. To resolve as a correct record & to authorise the Chairman to sign the official minutes
5. Declarations of interest (if any): To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests
6. Planning update: Town and Country Planning Act 1990 - To consider and make observations on all planning applications received and to note planning approvals, refusals, enforcement complaints and appeal decisions advised by Boston Borough Council.
• No planning applications received at the time of completion of the agenda.
7. Parish Matters / Matters Arising / Updates
7.1 Street Lights – The clerk has contacted Boston Borough Council for an update, nothing to report.
7.2 Speed Awareness – Update – The clerk contacted Highways & appointment was made for the 9th June 23. Update at meeting.
7.3 Freiston Magazine – Update: The Clerk has looked into professional printing at various costs ranging from £50 - £100 for 500 copies, against purchasing ink & paper at an approx. cost of £90.00.
7.4 Highway & Roads – Update: Refer to item 7.2
7.5 Levelling up - Playing Field & Bowls Club – Ongoing – No decision has yet been made. See below appendix A.
7.6 Flagpole – Update – Cllr Peter Bedford has gifted a Lincolnshire flag to the parish council. Thank you. Date for installation to be arranged.
7.7 Playing Field – Caloo Inspection – Update: The clerk has arranged with Caloo for an inspection to be carried on 9th June 2023. – Update at meeting.
7.8 Danny Flear Community Centre – From May 18th meeting: Discuss & Resolve. Cllr P Bedford mentioned that the community centre does not have a microwave in their kitchen, would the parish council purchase one?
8. Finance:
8.1 Bank Account: Statement of accounts as at 15th June 2023
8.2 To approve the accounts for payments
9. Date of next parish council meeting: Thursday 20th July 2023 at 7:30pm

For Item 7.5 Levelling up - Playing Field & Bowls Club – Information on Play Equipment for disabled children.
Advice taken from the Equality Act 2010.
The EA, requires reasonable provisions to be made for equal opportunities for disabled people except where it effects the safety of others. The act applies to places where children play (Play, Games areas).
You have a duty to make reasonable adjustments, & take reasonable measures to make the play area as suitable for disabled children as possible, & to supply at least one item of equipment suitable for disabled children.
Disability Discrimination Act. The Act has made it illegal to treat disabled persons less favourably since December 1996. The Act came into full force from October 2004. It has been largely supplemented by the Equality Act 2010. It is illegal to treat disabled persons any less favourably than a non-disabled person.
