FREISTON PARISH COUNCIL

The next meeting of Freiston Parish Council, which will be held on Tuesday 15th November 2022, at 7.30 pm in the Danny Flear Community Centre.

There will be a 10-minute public forum if needed at 7.30 pm when members of the public may make short statements to the Council:


AGENDA 

1.   Chairman to open the meeting:

2.   Apologies: To receive & accept apologises where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Clerk prior to the meeting: 

3.   Police Matters: Stats & incidents are available to view on the police website. Local Crime information website www.streetcheck.co.uk Crime data – Clerk to check the street check website. – Update at meeting.

4.   Minutes: To approve the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on the 18th October 2022.  To resolve as a correct record & to authorise the Chairman to sign the official minutes

5.   Declarations of interest (if any): To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on    Members’ Register of Interests
       
6.   Planning update: 

Town and Country Planning Act 1990 - To consider and make observations on all planning applications received and to note planning approvals, refusals, enforcement complaints and appeal decisions advised by the Borough Council.

7.   Parish Matters / Matters Arising /Updates 

a.   North Sea Camp Prison: Update – Dates received, to discuss.

b.   Speed Indicating Devices: – Speed limit sign, a request for the signs to be moved further down Church Road towards McCartneys. Can the Parish Council help with this request?

To run the scheme on a regular basis would require 9-12 volunteers, at the present time there are only 5.      
                    
c.   Parish Magazine:    Update – The clerk received notification from Benington Parish Council, the councillors agreed in principle. Waiting to hear back from Butterwick & Leverton. – Ongoing.

d.   Highways & Roads – Update:
   
e.   Defibrillator:    Update: Kings Head Defibrillator: The clerk has been in contact with the previous tenant of The Kings Head, with no luck with information. The clerk has asked the Chairman to visit the tenants of the pub. The clerk has not been able to get in contact with anyone at Batemans. Ongoing.

f.   Freiston Poor Charity Notice Board: Update 

g.   Entry Signs to Village: Update: 
      
h.   Blue Plaque – Pishey Thompson: Update: The clerk contacted Fydell House, they are dealing with the request & will contact the clerk when completed.

i.   Footway Lighting: - To discuss & resolve: The clerk received notification from Boston Borough Council regarding the 23-24 price for the lighting, however it was mentioned that all of the lights are old style & now obsolete. LED lighting is the preferred lighting & is cheaper to run.      

There are 50 lights that will need replacing at an approx. cost of £420 each, that is a basic price, however if there are complications the charge will be more.     
   
j.   Projector Screen: To discuss & resolve: The clerk to show the councillors, various screens before purchase. – Annex A 

k.   Tree Planting – To discuss – Cllr B Posey, suggestion to plant the trees on the 3rd December 2022 at 10am.
