FREISTON PARISH COUNCIL

I give notice that a meeting of Freiston Parish Council, which will be held on Tuesday 19st July 2022, at 7.30 pm in the Danny Flear Community Centre.

There will be a 10-minute public forum if needed at 7.30 pm when members of the public may make short statements to the Council:


AGENDA 

1.   Chairman to open the meeting

2.   Apologies: To receive & accept apologises where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Clerk prior to the meeting: 

•   Cllr Shaun Pearson sends his apologises due to family commitments.
•   Cllr Simon Pearson sends his apologises.

3.   Police Matters: Stats & incidents are available to view on the police website. Local Crime information website www.streetcheck.co.uk Crime data – Clerk to check the street check website. – Update at meeting.

4.   Minutes: To approve the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on the 21st June 2022.  To resolve as a correct record & to authorise the Chairman to sign the official minutes

5:   Declarations of interest (if any): To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests
       
6.   Planning update: 

Town and Country Planning Act 1990 - To consider and make observations on all planning applications received and to note planning approvals, refusals, enforcement complaints and appeal decisions advised by the Borough Council

i.   Planning Application no B/22/0256 – Spittal Hill Road Freiston, Boston PE22 0PA - Single storey rear to exsiting bungalow.

Have advised planning that there is no objections from the councillors, as observations was for 13th July 22 before the Parish meeting. 

7.   Parish Matters / Matters Arising /Updates 

a.   Speed Indicating Devices: - Update – Information.

The clerk emailed Keith West for an update.
      
b.   Parish Magazine:    Update. The leaflet to be added to Freiston Parish Council Facebook page.

c.   Highways & Roads - Traffic regulations orders: No updates
       
d.   Defibrillator:    Update: The Clerk received a reply via email dated 11th July 22, regarding the ongoing delay for pads & batteries. The clerk contacted other suppliers & the response is the same.

e.   Freiston Poor Charity Notice Board: Update 

f.   Councillor Grant scheme for Entry signs – Update

Councillor Shaun Pearson is ordering the agreed oak panels & signs.

Further update when received.
            
g:    Flyswat Team / Wombles – Update: 

The clerk contacted BBC regarding safety items, no reply. 

Poster still in progress, to be ready for the meeting.

h.   Blue Plaque – Pishey Thompson: Update: 

The clerk contacted Fydell House, & received information on the size & how many words could be used on the plaque. Details below for a suggestion.

i.   North Sea Camp Prison: Update: The clerk contacted MP Matt Warman, have received a response from his secretary, asking for the date of the next meeting. This has been supplied. The clerk contacted North Sea Camp, but have not          received a reply.

j.   Noticeboard. Update: The clerk placed an order with Metrosigns, there is a delay on perspex, hopefully will have a date for delivery at the meeting. 

k.   Flag Pole: Discuss The clerk contacted the owners along Church Road with regards to the flag being installed, unfortunately residents are not happy that the flapping of the flag would be a problem as most of the bedrooms are at the front of the properties.

Is there somewhere else the flag pole could be erected. 

i.   Stanley Close by the bench

iv.   By the bus stop / Noticeboard.

l.   Facebook Page: Update:    The clerk has set up the Facebook page, with Councillor Amy Pearson as admin. There have been some posts on the Facebook. 

The traffic regulation order has had over one thousand views. 

m.   Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind project – Discuss.
