You are summoned to attend the Monthly Meeting of Freiston Parish Council, which will be held on Thursday 17th September 2026, at 7:30pm in the Danny Flear Community Centre.

AGENDA
1. Chairman to open the meeting:
2. Apologies: To receive and accept apologies where a valid reason for the absence has been given to the clerk prior to the meeting.

3. Public Forum: To resolve to suspend the meeting for a maximum of 10 minutes to allow members of the public to ask questions or make short statements to the council.
4. Police Matters: Stats & incidents are available to view on the police website.
- To be presented at the meeting if there is anything worthwhile reporting.
5. Minutes: To approve the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on the 20th August 2026. To resolve as a correct record and to authorise the Chairman to sign the official minutes
6. Declarations of interest (if any): To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests
7. Planning update: Town and Country Planning Act 1990 - To consider and make observations on all planning applications received and to note planning approvals, refusals, enforcement complaints and appeal decisions advised by Boston Borough Council. – To include those received between the day of posting this notice and the day of the meeting.
8. Discuss and resolve the following items
8.1. Highway and Roads – Cllr Roy Pearson
8.2. Cleaning of Signs around village:
The clerk emailed LCC regarding cleaning of the road signs around the village. And has sent a couple of photos stating all signs need cleaning.

8.3. Brand End Road – Holmers Lane – To Note
The clerk has been in contact with LCC and advised speed limits.

8.4: Park Lane speed bumps – To Note
No further updates
8.5: Priory Road Speeding - Resident complaint
From the last meeting, the clerk has received a reply stating that LRSP do not have authority on calming measures and to contact Lincolnshire County Council.
The clerk has emailed LCC and waiting for a reply.
8.6: Wicksteed – Cllr Nigel Marshall - Update
8.7: Lincolnshire County Council Bus Shelter Grant – Update
To consider whether the Parish Council wishes to proceed with the grant application for a new two‑bay bus shelter at Church Road. Estimated cost is £6,000+, and two quotations will be required from different suppliers. Only one grant application can be submitted at a time; the Jolly Farmers shelter would follow with the same costings and requirements, after the Parish Council has considered whether to go ahead.
The application also requires a location plan, photographs, and a sketch of the proposed site. The Parish Council would be responsible for insurance and ongoing maintenance.
8.8: Complaints re Spittal Hill Road – Hedge – To Note
The clerk has written to the resident – Update when available
8.9: Resident Complaint – Re Parking & Grass Verge
From the previous meeting, the clerk has emailed LCC. And has advised the resident that the PC will advise when further information received.

8.10: Resident Complaint – Bull Pastures, Speeding
The clerk has received an email concerning speeding issues at Bull Pastures.

The clerk received an email, regarding a donation for the FBBL magazine.
