You are summoned to attend the Monthly Meeting of Freiston Parish Council, which will be held on Thursday 20th August 2026, at 7:30pm in the Danny Flear Community Centre.

AGENDA
 
1. Chairman to open the meeting: 
 
2. Apologies: To receive and accept apologies where a valid reason for the absence has been given to the clerk prior to the meeting.
• Cllr Bridgett Posey - Prior Commitment 
 
3. Public Forum: To resolve to suspend the meeting for a maximum of 10 minutes to allow members of the public to ask questions or make short statements to the council. 
 
4. Police Matters: Stats & incidents are available to view on the police website. 
• To be presented at the meeting
 
5. Minutes: To approve the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on the 16th July 2026. To resolve as a correct record and to authorise the Chairman to sign the official minutes 
 
6. Declarations of interest (if any): To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests
 
7. Planning update: Town and Country Planning Act 1990 - To consider and make observations on all planning applications received and to note planning approvals, refusals, enforcement complaints and appeal decisions advised by Boston Borough Council. – To include those received between the day of posting this notice and the day of the meeting.
 
8. Discuss and resolve the following items
 
8.1. Highway and Roads – Cllr Roy Pearson 
• The clerk emailed LCC regarding cleaning of the road signs around the village
• No reply received – To chase up.
 
8.2. Brand End Road – Holmers Lane – To Note
• The clerk received an email from LCC with a map, asking for clarification on the speed limits required. 
• Update when available
 
8.3: Park Lane speed bumps – Update
• The clerk received an email on 7th July 2026, stating LCC are in discussions with their delivery partner to arrange installation of the speed bumps. 
• The clerk contacted LCC regarding the chewed-up tarmac along Park Lane.
• No further updates  - Update when available.
 
8.4: Priory Road Speeding - Resident complaint 
• The clerk has emailed the LRSP, sending the spreadsheet and requested further calming measures. 
• No further updates - Update when available. 
 
8.5: Kings Head Radar Speed Radar Pole – To note 
• The clerk has received an email stating that the pole has been repaired. 
• Radar camera to be re-instated 
 
8.6: Newsletter
• Draft of the newsletter – To be sent to councillors before the meeting.
 
8.7: Lincolnshire County Council Bus Shelter Grant – Cllr Peter Bedford
• Parish Councils can apply for up to £3k per shelter to install new or refurbish old ones.
 
 
8.8 - Wicksteed Equipment – Cllr Nigel Marshall
 
8.9 - Complaints re Spittal Hill Road – Hedge – Cllr Shaun Pearson
• Cllr Shaun Pearson has received complaints regarding the hedge that is overhanging the road. 
 
8.10 - Resident Complaint – Re Parking & Grass Verge
• The clerk received an email from a resident, with regards to parking issues and the grass verge 
• The clerk emailed all Councillors on 11th August 2026
 
8.11 - Community Skip – Danny Flear Community Centre Car Park – To Note
• The clerk received an email from Boston Borough Council regarding the community skip initiative.
• Email sent to councillors for the comments
• The clerk has replied stating the DFC at the far end of the car park. 
 
9: Finance:
 
9.1 Bank Account: Statement of accounts as at 20th August 2026
9.2 To approve the accounts for payments
9.3 AGAR Section - External Audit – To note:
Conclusion of audit – In accordance with proper practices and no matters have come to their attention.
