You are summoned to attend The Monthly Meeting of Freiston Parish Council, which will be held on Thursday 17th July 2025, at 7:30pm in the Danny Flear Community Centre.

AGENDA
1. Chairman to open the meeting:
2. Apologises: To receive and accept apologises where a valid reason for the absence has been given to the clerk prior to the meeting.
3. Public Forum: To resolve to suspend the meeting for a maximum of 10 minutes to allow members of the public to ask questions or make short statements to the council.
4. Police Matters: Stats & incidents are available to view on the police website.

5. Minutes: To approve the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on the 19th June 2025. To resolve as a correct record and to authorise the Chairman to sign the official minutes
6. Declarations of interest (if any): To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests
7. Planning update: Town and Country Planning Act 1990 - To consider and make observations on all planning applications received and to note planning approvals, refusals, enforcement complaints and appeal decisions advised by Boston Borough Council. – To include those received between the day of posting this notice and the day of the meeting.
8. Updates / Discuss and resolve the following items
8.1. Church Newsletter – Update
As mentioned at the end of the June meeting, Cllr Simon Pearson advised that the Church are intending to supply a newsletter for the local parishes as it was previously. The clerk has invited a member of the committee and the vicar to attend the meeting to discuss this issue.
The clerk has been informed that this newsletter has nothing to do with the church and it will be run by a committee.
This committee are asking Freiston Parish Council for a donation towards the costs of running this newsletter.
Freiston Parish Council have their own newsletter and this newsletter would be a conflict of interest.
8.2. Highway & Roads – To Note
Oak House Lane – 30mph speed signs – The clerk has been in contact with Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership for the signs, and is waiting for an update.
8.3. Additional refuse bin at Haltoft End update as per email dated 21st May 2025 – Cllr Peter Bedford - Update
8.4. Wicksteed and Play Park – Update
The clerk has been in touch with Wicksteed for the quote. To date the clerk has not heard back and will chase up again before the meeting.
8.5. Aspiration House – Update – Cllr Dale Broughton
Cllr Dale Broughton sent an email dated 29th June 2025, with further concerns regarding Aspiration House. Continuous noise, and parking issues.
8.6. Church End Road Sign – Update – Cllr Peter Bedford
Cllr Peter Bedford has requested a new sign for Church End Road.
8.7. Love Your Neighbourhood entry 2025 – To Note
The clerk has emailed the councillors the entry for Love your neighbourhood, and has requested new photos for the entry via Facebook.
To be submitted by the 4th August 2025.
8.8. Adoption of the Mission Statement
As advised by the internal auditor the parish council should have a mission statement. Refer to email sent on 8th July 2025, with the mission statement.
8.9. New logo design for letterheads – To Note.
The clerk has produced a new logo for Freiston Parish Council’s letterheads and invoices – See email sent 8th July 2025 with details.
9. Finance:
9.1 Bank Account: Statement of accounts as at 17th July 2025
9.2 To approve the accounts for payments
9.3 The Clerk has reinvested the £40k from the high saving account which matured in July 2025 for a further 7 months, as 6 months was not an option. The clerk spoke with the chairman to confirm before taking the necessary steps. (Maturity date 11/2/2026)
