You are summoned to attend The Monthly Meeting of Freiston Parish Council, which will be held on Thursday 18th July 2024, at 7:30pm in the Danny Flear Community Centre.

AGENDA

1.   Chairman to open the meeting:

2.   Apologises: To receive and accept apologises where a valid reason for the absence has been given to the clerk prior to the meeting.

•   Cllr Roy Pearson – Due to holiday

3.   Public Forum: To resolve to suspend the meeting for a maximum of 10 minutes to allow members of the public to ask questions or make short statements to the council. 

4.    Police Matters: Stats & incidents are available to view on the police website. 

•   June 2024 – To be presented at the meeting

5.    Minutes: To approve the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on the 16th May 2024. To resolve as a correct record and to authorise the Chairman to sign the official minutes

6.    Declarations of interest (if any): To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests

7.    Planning update: Town and Country Planning Act 1990 - To consider and make observations on all planning applications received and to note planning approvals, refusals, enforcement complaints and appeal decisions advised by Boston Borough Council. – To include those received between the day of posting this notice and the day of the meeting.

8.1   Highway & Roads – Update 

8.2   Newsletter – 

Ideas for the next newsletter 

8.3   Churchyard Rubbish – Update only – The clerk contacted admin at the church and was advised that the church wardens are aware of the rubbish and will be getting the area sorted as soon as they are able to do so. 

8.4    Love Your Neighbourhood – Update only – The clerk entered the competition, and now waiting to find out the results. 

8.5   Pavements – Church Road – Cllr Nigel Marshall

A resident has complained about the state of the road and pavement from the repair of the pot holes, with tarmac left behind from the repairs. 

Can the parish council help with getting a road sweeper? 

8.6   Churchyard – Nettles – Cllr Bridgett Posey 

The churchyard is a mess with all the nettles, to hire a contractor to clear the nettles? 

8.7   Bowls Club Donation – Cllr Nigel Marshall

The bowls club would like to purchase a visually impaired device for the bowls club and request a donation towards the cost.

8.8   Interactive Speed Signs for Village 

A resident has complained regarding the speeding along Lowfields Lane, they have been in contact with Highways who advised the resident to contact the parish council.
